A New Standard in Precision Current Stability And Programming Accuracy DC Power Supplies

BiRa Systems manufacturers a Precision Current Regulator Controller (PCRC) that can interface with Kikusui PAT-T Series, a total of 93 models ranging from 8 kW to 40 kW. 

​The Advantages of BiRa/Kikusui System
  • Short-term term current stability is ±3-4ppm and the long-term is ±5ppm or better.
  • Long-term change with respect to temperature is 2.5ppm/C.
  • Independent and redundant read-back of output current.
  • Additional connections for up to 4 independent external interlocks allowing integration with machine protection systems and other facility safety controls.

Note:
BiRa Systems calculates stability using the absolute maximum and minimum values from the complete set of data. Care should be taken when comparing stability specifications from different manufacturers, as some manufacturers calculate stability using different methods such as full width at half maximum (FWHM). The FWHM calculation will result in a lower stability number and should not be compared directly to the absolute max/min technique.
This Precision Magnet Power Supply System has many advantages 
over the “one box” magnet power supplies offered by competition.

  • Scalability - with parallel capabilities (up to 5 units)
  • Adaptability - Because of a simple analog interface between a power supply and the controller, the existing power supplies already in use can be upgraded efficiently and cost effectively.        
  • MTTR - Quick replace-repair time assures that particle accelerators and medical accelerators are operational 24/7 with minimal downtime.
