High Precision Current Stability and 

​Programming Accuracy DC Power Supplies (Sorensen)

BiRa Systems manufacturers a Precision Current Regulator Controller (PCRC) that can interface with 4 different Sorensen SG series DC Power Supplies: SGA, SGI, SGX and SGe. With 348 models total it allows for 1,740 power configurations.

​The Advantages of BiRa/Sorensen System

• Short-term term current stability is ±3-4ppm and the long-term is ±5ppm.
• Long-term change with respect to temperature is 2.5ppm/C.
• Independent and redundant read-back of output current.
• Additional connections for up to 4 independent external interlocks allowing integration with machine protection systems and other facility safety controls.

Note:
BiRa Systems calculates stability using the absolute maximum and minimum values from the complete set of data. Care should be taken when comparing stability specifications from different manufacturers, as some manufacturers calculate stability using different methods such as full width at half maximum (FWHM). The FWHM calculation will result in a lower stability number and should not be compared directly to the absolute max/min technique.
