GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Model 5910 is a single-width module that contains four 12-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters. The 5910 uses a Model 5903 32K x 12-bit memory for data storage. The 5910 has four differiential analog outputs, switch-selectable for ą10.24V, ą5.12V, 0 to 10.24V, and 0 to 5.12V output ranges. The 5910 can use an external clock provided by a front panel connector, dataway line P2, or an internal clock. The P2 or internal clock, both nominally 1 MHz, has an internal divider to select operating frequencies from 2 KHz to 500 KHz in 7 steps. Memory is partitioned equally among the active channels. Connector options are 2-pin or 3-pin LEMOs.

F16 A0 WT1	SCAN	Write Memory Data, at Address from address pointer. Address us incremented. Data is binary for unipolar channels and 2's complement for Bipolar channels.
F16 A1 WT1	SCAN	Load Address pointer. Command executed if module not armed or active. Loads number of samples to be scanned before a restart at zero location.
F16 A2 WT1	SCAN	Write Sample per channel. Command executed if module not armed or active. Loads number of samples to be scanned before a restart at zero location.
F17 A0 WT2	SCAN	Write Status Register. W1-W3 number of active channels, W9-W11 Set Clock Frequency, W12 Select Clock: 0= Internal, 1=External, W13-W16 Set SCAN Iterations; 0=Continuous; 1-15 = numberof scans
F24 A0 DIS	1	Disable (STOP) Scan. STOP Scan and disarm the module. DAC outputs go to zero volts.
F25 A0 XEQ	1	Execute (START) Scan. Command executed if module armed but not active.
Z or C CZ or Power Up	0	Sets the module to following state. Sample per channel=full, Clock 200Hz internal, Continuous Scan, Unarmed with output zero, and Channel 1.
X		Valid for all addressed commands.
