GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Model 5907C is a single-width 12-bit ADC capable of operating at rates up to 750KHz. This module can operate in excess of 1MHz but at 10 bit accuracy. The module requires an external Model 4912R Controller to supply memory address, clock and control signals. The unit contains an instrumentation input amplifier followed by a high-speed S/H and ADC with switch selectable full scale Unipolar 5.12V, 10.24V, and Bipolar 5.12V, 10.24V. Status Registers are provided to a certain module configuration, operating mode, and retain the value of the last digitized data.The module contains an 128K word internal memory and a CAMAC dataway interface.

Unloading of the memory is accomplished through the Digitizer module under control of the 4912R controller. Each of a possible 15 Digitizers in the system is assigned a unique channel address from 1 through 15; the address is set by switches on each Digitizer's module. Each Digitizer recognizes a ZERO address as the data acquisitions mode.During memory unloading (READ) the module accepts the memory data. Data is transferred to the dataway read lines in two's complement format with sign extended to 16 bits. Bit weighting for data is always returned at 1.25mV/bit. Four front panel LED's N, LOAD, UNLOAD, and SELF TEST indicate the status of the module. Analog input is via a LEMO RG-OB303 connector. Controller to Digitizer input connector is a Robinson Nugent IDH-20PK-SR3-TG or equivalent.

X		Valid for all address commands.
