GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Bi Ra model 5562 is a single-width 32 channel general purpose digital input module. Each input is opto-isolated and is designed to operate over a wide range of positive input voltages. The unit is non latching, each CAMAC Read reflects the data as seen at the inputs at the time of the read command.

INPUTS

Optically isolated with current drawn not to exceed 10 milli Amps at 30V in. Inputs will withstand +/-30 volts indefinitely and +/- 60 volts for one(1) second without damage.

Input levels

Logic	“0”	-30 through +1 volts
	“1”	+3 through +30 volts
	(undefined from +1 to +3 volts)

All inputs are non latching. During a CAMAC read cycle the data is held. Response time is 100 sec maximum from input to dataway. Inputs are via front panel (2ea. AMP P/N 204731-1). Front panel indicators: “N” and “X” are red LEDs, “Q” and “V” are green LEDs. (“V” indicates both J1 & J2 - C9 > 12 volts)

F0 A0 RD1	1	Read J1 inputs, channel 0-15 into R1-R16, Q=1 if J1-C9>12 volts.
F0 A1 RD1	1	Read J2 inputs, channel 16-31 into R1-R16, Q=1 if J2-C9>12 volts.
X=1 both commands		X=Q=0 for all other commands.

+24V	2 - 170 mA, dependent upon J1 & J2 - C9 loading
