24-BIT DIGITAL COMPARATOR AND ISOLATION UNIT (Stand-alone)
HOUSED AND ISOLATED IN THE CAMAC STANDARD
The Bi Ra Model 4224 is a single-width CAMAC-based module. Each bit has separate comparator with input +/- 16 Volt clamping protection, output inverting-strap choice and opto-isolator. The voltage reference (VREF) for the comparators is adjustable from the 10-turn trimpot and two test points obtained through the front panel. Model 4224 has a variable set-point (VREF) against which each of 24 input voltage values are compared. If a given input is above the set-point, the corresponding closure( ie. to pull down Bi Ra Model 2324 inputs) will be either made or unmade depending on what sense the output is jumpered to. Provided is the ability to jumper either above or below the set-point and also allow either positive or negative set-points.
This unit is isolated from CAMAC power and ground due to IDC's 500 Series (5W) DC/DC Converter. +/-15V or +/-12V derived from DC/DC converter from CAMAC's +24V or +12V. Circuit grounds only from connectors.
