GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Bi Ra Model 2324 is a single- width CAMAC module with two 24-bit input registers. All inputs are via front panel mounted 2DA31P connectors. This module can be configured to accept Low-true (74AS574) or Hi-true (74AS576) input data by substitution of the desired octal latches. Jumpers JP1-4 must be installed when using CAMAC strobes. Pin 25 of both connectors must be free when using CAMAC. This module can be set up to operate with external data strobes from REG0 connector(pin 25) & REG1 connector (pin 25), strobe Hi-true or Low-true by removing jumpers JP4 (REG0) & JP3 (REG1). When in this mode, Jumpers JP1 & JP2 must be removed.

INPUTS

The standard module will accept TTL level inputs and have over voltage protection on the input lines. An optional module can be configured to accept contact closures for inputs. In this configuration the protection diodes are replaced with pull up resistors.

INTERRUPT CAPABILITIES

Each register has a LAM status register and a mask register. The load Data Strobe sets the status register and if the LAM mask register is enabled then a LAM request is initiated. The status can be tested with the F27 command.
